Austin Wannemacher

If something in the family needs fixing, troubleshooting, designing, researching, building, updating, or explaining, there's a decent chance it eventually lands in my lap.

I'm the tech-minded member of the Wannemacher family, with a longtime interest in computers, software, design, and figuring out how things work. Over the years I've built computers, managed websites, created graphics, hosted servers, solved more technology problems than I can count, and somehow became the (un)official family IT department.

Professionally, my background includes leadership roles in retail and food service management, along with growing experience in IT, technical support, web development, and digital operations. If you've listened to iDulting, you've probably seen some of my work behind the scenes through the website, blog posts, graphics, social media content, and the occasional attempt to keep everyone's technology behaving itself.

When I'm not staring at a screen, I enjoy spending time with family, loved ones, gaming with my brother, kayaking, hiking, camping, going to the beach, exploring new technology, and occasionally falling down internet rabbit holes that start with a simple question and somehow end three (or ten) hours later.

Like everyone else around here, I'm still learning as I go. The difference is that when something breaks, my first instinct is usually to take it apart and see what happens.

So far, that strategy has worked more often than not.
